The big question soon to be answered

Chris and I went to our 18th week check-up yesterday and our little bundle of joy is doing wonderful. The heartbeat is at 158 beats per minute and our little person is moving all around. Afterwards we made our appointment for our ultrasound! Tomorrow at 12:30 p.m., we'll be getting to see our little peanut on the big screen and we'll get to find out if we're having a boy or a girl. I just can't wait to start planning everything!

Afterwards, I had to cover something for the paper, so we grabbed a quick dinner and drove out of town for a talk on the new and interesting varieties of plants! Chris thought he was going to have a terrible time, but he lovingly went with me. It was either that or he'd wait out in the car, so I think that made up his mind pretty easy.

He was the only guy to show up for the event, and as the room crouded up with elderly women, each one took a look at him and whispered to their little friends, "I told Harold there would be men here."

By the end of the event, Chris was having more fun than our little old ladies, and he even won a flower to take home! I think next time we cover a gardening event, he'll be the first one in the car!
